Mobile lab expands capacity of animal disease diagnostics
A new mobile diagnostic laboratory housed in a trailer about the size of a recreational vehicle and developed by the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory will enable the lab to quickly expand its capability to respond to an animal disease outbreak.

Regents Vote to Transfer Management of Rangel College of Pharmacy on the campus of A&M-Kingsville to the Health Science Center
The Board of Regents at its March 24 meeting transferred administration of the Rangel College of Pharmacy from Texas A&M University-Kingsville to The Texas A&M University System Health Science Center. The college, the first professional school south of San Antonio, is slated to open this fall.

WTAMU uses technology to support new teachers
West Texas A&M is developing a web-based mentoring program in which faculty members can assist and support graduates in their careers as new teachers. The program will be field tested this summer and fully operational by spring 2007, when student teachers are placed in schools.
