Texas A&M University-Kingsville and The Ohio State University were
named National Role Model Institutions by Minority Access Inc., a national
nonprofit educational organization, for their campus-wide commitment to

Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School will receive $1.4
million in federal funding so that its Center for International Business
Education and Research can continue its mission of international education
outreach over the next four years.

University is one of three facilities to receive a $500,000 Department
of Agriculture grant to implement field trips via distance learning video
technology.

Christi ROTC program to be established as an independent battalion
The U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at Texas A&M
University-Corpus Christi marked a new era on Wednesday, Sept. 6, when
the Islander Battalion was activated. Previously, the program was a partner
with Texas A&M University-Kingsville as the Javelina Battalion’s
Charlie Company.

network turns almost any location into an A&M-Commerce
classroom
Texas A&M University-Commerce has acquired a portable, self-contained,
controlled network—complete with laptops—that can turn just
about any location into a classroom for computer science students studying
network security protocols, intrusion detection systems and other information
security concepts.
