chair, fellowship named in honor of Norman Borlaug
Texas A&M University Agriculture and Monsanto Company have announced
the creation of the Borlaug-Monsanto Chair for Plant Breeding and International
Crop Improvement, named in honor of Norman Borlaug, who won the 1970 Nobel
Peace Prize for his work in plant breeding.

Tarleton receives competitive business grant
Tarleton State University’s College of Business Administration was recently
awarded Business and International Education grant from the U.S. Department
of Education, a first for the college. Tarleton’s proposal was ranked
third out of the more than 100 submitted.
