(College Station)—Texas A&M University is the first known institution to feature student body elections on iTunesU. The site at http://itunes.tamu.edu/ now features video podcasts created by candidates for 2007-2008 yell leaders and student body president.
Each participating candidate created and produced a two-minute video podcast which showcases why students should vote for them. Candidate podcasts feature a range of content, including Texas A&M core values and traditions, election issues, campus shots, and fun attempts at humor.
The podcasts were featured on the site through the end of campaign elections held March 28-29.
The free podcasts can be downloaded onto a portable device such as an iPod or viewed from a desk-top computer by visiting http://itunes.tamu.edu/ and clicking on the new feature link at the bottom of the splash page. For more information, e-mail itunes@tamu.edu.
